MANILA, Philippines — The No. 8 most wanted drug suspect in Quezon City was arrested after he was caught with P102,000 worth of shabu during a sting on Wednesday.
Emilio Mortera, 50, was nabbed in Barangay Tandang Sora, according to Quezon City Police District director Brig. Gen. Danilo Macerin.
Mortera reportedly sold a sachet of shabu for P6,000 to an anti-narcotics officer who posed as a buyer.
The suspect was arrested after he accepted the marked money, police said.
Mortera allegedly yielded around 15 grams of shabu, a weighing scale, a cell phone and a .38-caliber handgun.
He was among the 10 drug suspects arrested in the city in the past two days.
Police said charges of drug trafficking and illegal possession of a firearm would be filed against Mortera.
