23 PNP officials reshuffled
MANILA, Philippines — Twenty-three Philippine National Police officials will be designated to new key positions following the retirement of three generals, the PNP reported yesterday.
PNP chief Gen. Debold Sinas said former information technology director Brig. Gen. Albert Ferro would replace Criminal Investigation and Detection Group chief Maj. Gen. Joel Coronel, who will be retiring on Feb. 11.
Directorate for research and development chief Maj. Gen. Dennis Agustin will take over Maj. Gen. Amado Empiso’s post as director for intelligence. Empiso will retire on Feb. 6.
Aviation Security Group chief Brig. Gen. Domingo Lucas will assume Agustin’s post.
Health service chief Brig. Gen. Nolasco Bathan, Sinas’ No. 2 man when he was chief of the National Capital Regional Police Office, will be replaced by Brig. Gen. Luisito Magnaye. Bathan retired yesterday.
Sinas said the movement triggered the designation of 13 police generals and seven colonels to new posts.
