BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — The vice mayor of Bontoc town in Mountain Province tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday.
Vice Mayor Eusebio Kabluyen is appealing to all people who came in contact with him in the past 14 days to get in touch with the municipal health office.
He advised these people to isolate themselves and coordinate with their barangay health units should they experience any symptom related to COVID-19.
A week earlier, Bontoc Mayor Franklin Odsey also tested positive for the virus, although he is asymptomatic.
Odsey and Kabluyen advised everyone to observe health protocols.
The Cordillera regional health office sent contact tracers to Bontoc on Sunday.
