MANILA, Philippines — Police have arrested a man for allegedly robbing a hotel employee in Sampaloc, Manila on Friday.
The victim bore stab wounds in the arm after he tried to chase the two suspects who fled in a tricycle after stealing his cell phone in Barangay 488, according to a police report.
Closed-circuit television footage showed the suspect stabbing the victim before robbing him.
The driver of the tricycle, Harris Hogan, was arrested after police conducted backtracking to determine where the vehicle came from before the incident, Sampaloc police station commander Lt. Col. Gene Licud said.
Hogan is being held by police on charges of robbery with frustrated homicide. His cohort remains at large.
