CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna , Philippines — A traffic enforcer and two others were killed in separate attacks in Laguna and Quezon province, respectively, over the weekend.
Jonas Cerdena, 44, a member of the Biñan traffic enforcement unit, was on his way home when he was killed by an unidentified assailant in Barangay San Antonio in Biñan.
Cerdena died while being taken to a hospital due to a gunshot wound in the body.
Police expressed belief the killing could be job-related.
Meanwhile, in Quezon, Arvin Laguna, 38 and Bryan Leonar, 37, were shot dead by two motorcycle-riding assailants in Barangay Angeles, Tayabas town on Saturday morning.
The fatalities were on the drug list of the police, authorities said.
