Another EDSA U-turn slot to be closed

MANILA, Philippines — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) would push through with the closure of the U-turn slot at General Malvar/Bagong Barrio along EDSA tomorrow.

In a traffic advisory sent to reporters on Friday, the U-turn slot would be closed to vehicular traffic in line with the Department of Transportation’s EDSA Busway project, wherein the innermost lane of EDSA is designated as an exclusive lane for public utility buses.

Motorists may take the Monumento or the Balintawak Cloverleaf as alternate routes.

Since September last year, six U-turn slots along EDSA have been closed to traffic to give way to the Busway project.
