DAVAO CITY, Philippines — The liquor ban and curfew in this city is extended until Jan. 31.

Under Executive Order 71, Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio said the extension is necessary to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease 2019.

The liquor ban, which was reimposed in this city on Nov. 2, was supposed to end on Thursday.

The curfew is from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Davao City is under general community quarantine until the end of the month.
