Manila residents urged: Sign up for free COVID-19 vaccine
MANILA, Philippines — The Manila city government has created a website for the pre-registration of residents who want to receive free COVID-19 vaccine, Mayor Isko Moreno said on Thursday night.
The website, manilacovid19vaccine.com, features a sign-up sheet, a summary of COVID-19 cases in the city, a still-empty map of areas where people have been vaccinated and an online database.
The vaccines, according to the website, will be administered in two doses to be given four weeks apart.
Moreno said the city government has reached out to the US drug manufacturers Pfizer and Moderna to purchase the vaccines.
Medical frontliners and senior citizens will be prioritized, he added.
Moreno earlier said the city government has set aside P200 million to buy COVID-19 vaccines and will cancel other projects to funnel more funds to purchasing vaccines.
