MANILA, Philippines — Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairman Danny Lim has tested positive for COVID-19.
In a post on his official Facebook page yesterday, Lim said he underwent a routine COVID-19 test a few days ago and received the results on Monday.
“I tested positive for COVID-19, despite me being cautious at all times and my obedience to health protocols,” Lim said in Filipino.
His wife and children tested negative for COVID-19, he said.
Lim said his symptoms are mild and that he “will continue to self-isolate for now. I already told the people that had close contact with me the past week to monitor themselves and isolate for 14 days.”
He said that he would continue to work remotely and through teleconferences to ensure that the MMDA operations would not be delayed.
