MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police has concluded its investigation into alleged violation of quarantine protocols of presidential spokesman Harry Roque and Sen. Manny Pacquiao, PNP chief Gen. Debold Sinas said yesterday.
Sinas said they forwarded the report to Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año, who ordered the probe.
“I have submitted our findings to Secretary Año,” Sinas said in an interview on CNN Philippines.
He said it is up to Año to disclose the PNP findings to the public.
Sinas added that Año has instructed DILG investigators to conduct a separate probe.
Año said he has yet to read the PNP’s report.
Roque received flak for allegedly violating health and safety protocols when he spoke in front of a large crowd on Bantayan Island in Cebu last month.
Pacquiao also received criticism when he held a gift-giving activity in Batangas.
