2 robbery suspects killed in Rizal

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Two suspected robbers were killed in an alleged shootout with police officers in Rizal yesterday.

Identified only as Ely and Roy, the suspects died at the scene in Barangay Inarawan, Antipolo City at around 5:40 a.m.

Police said the suspects, who were on a motorcycle without a license plate, refused to pull over at a checkpoint and instead fired at police officers.

Meanwhile, in Laguna, ”high-value” drug suspect Randy Getape was killed in a sting in Barangay Caingin in Sta. Rosa on Wednesday.
