MANILA, Philippines — More tourists are expected to flock to a beach resort in Malangas, Zamboanga Sibugay with the completion of a 3.69-kilometer access road leading to the area.
The newly completed portion of the NRJ-Bawang provincial road in Barangay Bawang, Buug town will serve as a gateway to Silupa Beach, Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar said yesterday.
The road project costs P77.19 million and covers the concreting of an unpaved two-lane road; construction of a line canal system, embankment and slope protection structure, and installation of safety markings.
Villar said the project would cut travel time from Barangay Bawang to the market centers and will benefit farmers and fishermen.
