2 bodies found along Makati highway
MANILA, Philippines — The bodies of two men, believed to have been summarily executed, were found along Osmeña Highway in Makati City before dawn yesterday.
One of the victims – clad in a blue shirt, beige shorts and slippers – was found at a dimly lit area in Barangay Pio del Pilar at around 2:20 a.m., city police said.
He was estimated to be between 25 and 30 years old and at least 5’4” tall. His hands were bound with black wire, police said.
Investigators recovered seven 9mm bullet casings near the body. Police said they found the victim after receiving a tip about a shooting in the area.
The second body was found near the first, but the part of the highway under the jurisdiction of Barangay San Antonio. Four bullet casings from the same type of gun were found around the body.
The second victim is believed to be between 40 and 45 years old, at least 5’6” tall and clad in a black shirt, beige cargo shorts and black rubber shoes.
Police have yet to identify the victims and determine the motives for the murders.
