MANILA, Philippines — Police apprehended three men for allegedly creating trouble while brandishing firearms in Caloocan City before dawn yesterday.
Jose Chan, 56; Leo Gonzales, 49, and Mark Conde, 30, were taken into police custody.
Acting on a telephone call from barangay officials, police led by Capt. Darwin Julian arrested the suspects in Bagong Silang at around 2 a.m.
Police said they recovered from the suspects a 12-gauge shotgun, a fake gun and an improvised shotgun.
When frisked, police said the suspects allegedly yielded three sachets of shabu.
Caloocan police assistant chief Lt. Col. Ilustre Mendoza said they would conduct a background check on the suspects to determine if they were involved in illegal activities.
