MANILA, Philippines — An unidentified gunman stormed the emergency room of a hospital in Angono, Rizal on Wednesday and finished off a man being treated for gunshot wounds from an earlier attack, police confirmed yesterday.
Police identified the victim as Vincent Adia, who was brought to the Angono General Hospital after he was shot by an unidentified man in Barangay San Isidro.
Adia’s first attacker, who left him for dead, placed a piece of cardboard identifying him as a drug suspect.
”We were able to extract some information from him. He knew who shot him. He wrote it down. But the papers he wrote on suddenly went missing,” a hospital staff said.
Witnesses said the assailant entered while hospital employees were trying to locate Adia’s relatives. He shot the patient then pointed his gun at health workers attending to the victim.
The gunman shot the victim for the second time before he fled on a motorcycle.
