Pangasinan town bans karaoke, videoke sessions

BINALONAN, Pangasinan, Philippines — Videoke and karaoke sessions are banned in this town for the entire schoolyear.

Mayor Ramon Guico issued an executive order on Tuesday imposing the ban for the benefit of students attending online classes as well as employees working from home.

“It is imperative to create an environment conducive... for the students to learn and accomplish school requirements without the unnecessary distraction and challenges brought by amplified sound systems and noise-producing devices,” the EO read.
