Man killed in road rage shooting

SARIAYA, Quezon, Philippines — A man was shot dead by a tricycle driver following a traffic altercation in this town on Thursday.

A police report identified the fatality as Danilo Ramos, 63. He died while being treated at the Lucena United Doctors Hospital.

Ramos and his partner Filomena Manimtim, 62, were in a tricycle driven by a certain Rosalito delos Santos when the vehicle was hit by another tricycle driven by Menandro Baliwag, 67.

Witnesses said Baliwag, who tried to escape, shot Ramos when the victims caught up with him.

Responding police officers said a 9mm pistol was recovered from the suspect.
