LEGAZPI CITY , Philippines — Three mild earthquakes hit three provinces in Bicol yesterday, according to the the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology.
The first quake, a magnitude-2.1, occurred at 12:41 a.m. Its epicenter was located 10 kilometers north of Calabanga, Camarines Sur.
Five hours later, a magnitude-2.7 temblor occurred some 10 kilometers north of Cataingan town in Masbate.
The third quake, a magnitude-2.1, occurred at 12:39 p.m. Its epicenter was located 38 kilometers off Pandan town in Catanduanes.
The quakes were not expected to generate aftershocks or cause damage to property.
