Lightning kills 3 minors

TUGUEGARAO , Philippines — Three boys died while another was rushed to a hospital after they were hit by lightning in San Fernando, La Union on Saturday night.

Ivan Eunicer Apayyo, 18; his brother Tristan, 15, and their cousins Rhian de Guzman, 17, and Patrick, 21, were swimming in a beach in Barangay Lingsat when the incident occurred at around 6:40 p.m.

The victims died at the scene, while Patrick was taken to a hospital where he was reported to be in critical condition.
