55 more cops catch COVID-19

MANILA, Philippines — Fifty-five more police officers have tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) reported on Monday that 27 of the new cases are from the Cordilleras, nine from Calabarzon and six from Metro Manila.

The Western Visayas police recorded four new cases; Central Luzon and Bicol, two each, and Northern Mindanao and Soccsksargen, one each.

The three other patients are from various units of the PNP.

The PNP said 5,119 or 82.63 of the patients have recovered. The death toll remains at 17.
