SULTAN KUDARAT, Philippines — Two persons were reported missing after their houses were swept away by floodwaters in Barangay Poblacion in Palimbang town on Wednesday.
Local officials said search and rescue operations for Janima Adam, 61, and Haifa Haron, 12, are ongoing.
Reports reaching the office of Maj. Gen. Juvymax Uy of the Army’s 6th Infantry Division showed that not fewer than 30 houses and a bridge were destroyed in the flashflood spawned by heavy rains since Tuesday.
