3 EDSA Busway stops open today

MANILA, Philippines — Three new median bus stops are set to open along the EDSA Busway today, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said yesterday.

In a statement, Assistant Secretary for road transport and infrastructure Mark Pastor said the DOTr and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority would open the North Avenue, Quezon Avenue and Nepa Q-Mart bus stops today.

“These three median bus stops would make the entering and exiting of buses easier and safer for the commuters,” Pastor said in Filipino.

The Busway has 29 bus stops, with 15 already completed. The DOTr said the 14 other stops would gradually be opened once the infrastructure and equipment needed are complete.
