P20 million marijuana plants destroyed in Kalinga
BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — Around 100,000 fully grown marijuana plants worth P20 million were uprooted in a clandestine plantation in Barangay Loccong, Tinglayan, Kalinga on Friday.
The cultivator of the plantation eluded arrest.
Brig. Gen. Rwin Pagkalinawan, Cordillera police director, acknowledged the efforts of barangay drug abuse councils in clearing communities of illegal drugs.
Meanwhile, in Abra, ”high-value” drug suspect Mark Dick Trondillo, 39, was arrested after a raid on his house in Barangay Calumbaya in Dolores town, also on Friday, yielded sachets of shabu, drug paraphernalia, a caliber .45 pistol and a magazine with bullets.
