MANILA, Philippines — Philippine National Police chief Gen. Archie Gamboa yesterday reassigned three PNP generals to new posts as part of another revamp five days before he is set to retire.
Among these officials is Brig. Gen. Herminio Tadeo Jr. whom Gamboa appointed as director of the PNP Finance Service. Prior to his new post, he served as chief of the Health Service.
Replacing Tadeo at the Health Service is Col. Arthur Cabalona, previously from the Directorate for Comptrollership.
Brig. Gen. Alfredo Corpus was designated director of the National Police Training Institute (NPTI) while Brig. Gen. Ferdinadaw Daway replaced him as head of the Directorate for Integrated Police Operations-Western Mindanao.
Gamboa said the latest revamp was prompted by the retirement of former NPTI director Ramon Rafael.
PNP spokesman Brig. Gen. Bernard Banac said Gamboa’s retirement honors and change of command ceremony is tentatively set on Sept. 2 at Camp Crame, pending the availability of President Duterte.
