Caloocan, delivery firm provide jobs

CALOOCAN, Philippines — Caloocan Mayor Oscar Malapitan signed on Thursday a memorandum of agreement with a delivery service to provide job opportunities for the city’s residents.

The city government “is trying everything to provide for the needs of our constituents, especially those who were hard hit by the COVID-19 pandemic,” Malapitan said.

Pure-Ride Phils., a pick-up and delivery service app, said it will provide opportunities owners of bicycles, motorcycles, tricycles, jeeps, cars, vans and trucks who are aged 21 to 59.

Malapitan urged interested vehicle owners to apply with the city’s public employment and services office.
