TACLOBAN CITY, Philippines — The National Housing Authority (NHA) has turned over 4,193 housing units for victims of Super Typhoon Yolanda in Tacloban City.
Mayor Alfred Romualdez received the housing units that are ready for occupancy in a virtual turnover ceremony attended by Cabinet Secretary and Task Force Yolanda chairman Karlo Nograles on Thursday.
Earlier this month, the NHA awarded 1,419 housing units to Yolanda victims in Ormoc City.
The NHA said 35,462 of the 54,508 housing units allocated for Yolanda victims in the region have been awarded to its beneficiaries.
Nograles said the remaining housing units would be completed before President Duterte steps down.
