Manila hospital reaches full capacity
MANILA, Philippines — The Justice Jose Abad Santos General Hospital (JJASGH) in Manila has stopped admitting non-COVID-19 patients after reaching full capacity.
“This will allow the hospital to decongest and maintain physical distancing among patients to avoid contracting the virus,” Mayor Isko Moreno said yesterday.
He advised Manila residents, especially pregnant women to go to other public hospitals in the city.
The JJASGH management said their capacity rate has reached 233 percent.
The hospital’s operating rooms were designated to COVID-19 patients.
