MANILA, Philippines — A 29-year-old tattoo artist was apprehended for alleged possession of at least P1.5 million worth of marijuana during a sting in Valenzuela City on Friday night.
The suspect, identified only as alias Josaphat, was nabbed in his shop along MacArthur Highway.
Capt. Ramon Acquiatan, chief of the Northern Police District drug enforcement unit, said they hatched an operation against Josaphat after receiving information that the suspect was allegedly pushing drugs.
Police said the suspect allegedly sold marijuana for P40,000 to an anti-narcotics officer who posed as a buyer.
Authorities said they also recovered P117,000 worth of Kush from the suspect.
