MANILA, Philippines — Former president Joseph Estrada’s spiritual adviser Fr. Larry Faraon, also known as the “Healing Touch” priest, died of pneumonia yesterday. He was 64.

Faraon passed away at past 3 a.m.

He had served as station manager of Radio Veritas since the 1986 EDSA People Revolt.

Faraon was a gospel columnist for national broadsheets and magazines.

He belonged to the Prelature of Batanes and was in charge of its social communications ministry.

Batanes Bishop Danilo Ulep asked the public to pray for Faraon’s soul.

Estrada condoled with the family of Faraon.

“We are saddened by the demise of Fr. Larry Faraon. He was a pro-poor priest,” Estrada said in a statement.

Faraon taught journalism and mass communications at the University of Santo Tomas and Miriam College.
