P30 million illegal drugs seized in Metro Manila stings
MANILA, Philippines — Nearly P30 million worth of illegal drugs were confiscated in stings in various parts of Metro Manila since Friday.
In Quezon City, around four kilos of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu valued at P27.2 million were seized from Jinky Pascio Arbolado, Jhon Christopher Guzman, Cristina Burill and Siloren Tabiano during a sting in Barangay Sto. Domingo at around 8 p.m. on Friday.
The four are among the 11 persons who were arrested in Quezon City on Friday for drug-related offenses.
In Taguig, Tarhata Abdullah, 41, and Joyce Rio Lusung, 18, were reportedly caught with around 300 grams of shabu with a street value of P2.04 million during a sting at Abdullah’s house in Barangay Lower Bicutan on Friday.
In Parañaque, Mark Manalo, 29, was arrested for around 26 grams of shabu valued at P176,800 in a sting on Friday.
In Marikina, at least 34 grams of shabu with a street value of P231,200, a .45 caliber pistol and an improvised handgun were seized from June Seinining, 35; Noel Seinining, 32; Jenefer Cambosa, 26; Arvin Leonardo, 41; and Peter Paul Jao, 45, in separate stings since Friday.
Mark Anthony Batilo, 24, and Jayvee Pedroso, 28, were arrested in Barangay Corazon de Jesus, San Juan at past midnight yesterday. Both are on the city police’s drug watchlist.
