BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — An alleged leader of an illegal drug group surrendered to the city police yesterday.
Abdul Fabrigas Abdullah, 28, decided to surrender after eluding arrest for three days, according to Mayor Benjamin Magalong.
Reports said Abdullah engaged agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in a firefight along Upper Malvar street on Thursday night.
A manhunt was launched for the suspect, who was reportedly behind the smuggling of shabu from the lowlands, according to Col. Allen Rae Co, city police chief.
