BALAGTAS, Bulacan, Philippines – Barangay Panginay in this town is on lockdown until July 3.
Village chief Rolando Santiago said no one would be allowed to enter and leave the barangay starting noon today.
Non-residents will not be allowed to pass through the village, Santiago added.
Darwin David, Department of the Interior and Local Government provincial director, said several local government units have inquired on declaring lockdown in their areas.
The provincial health office said 19 tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 in Bulacan, bringing the number of confirmed cases to 323.
A total of 126 patients have recovered while 34 died.
