Isabela village chief shot dead

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Philippines  – Unidentified men gunned down a barangay chairman in Echague, Isabela yesterday.

Rogelio Sacro of Barangay Busilelao was driving his tricycle on his way home when he was shot in Barangay Dammang East at past noon. He died while being treated in a hospital.

Echague Mayor Faustino, Francis Dy offered a reward of P500,000 for information leading to the arrest of the assailants.

In Laguna, Froilan Reyes, president of the Association of Barangay Captains in Kalayaan town, was shot dead in front of a water refilling station in Barangay Longos on Thursday.
