Makati city hall employees to get P3,000 anniversary bonus

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Around 7,310 employees of the Makati city hall will receive P3,000 each on June 22 as part of the city’s 350th foundation day celebration, Mayor Abby Binay announced yesterday.

Binay said all regular, casual and contractual employees are entitled to receive anniversary bonus. The recipients consist of 3,425 regular employees, 3,876 casual and nine contractual.

“This is our simple way of giving back to our employees, who have been our reliable partners in delivering services to our constituents for the past years. We appreciate how they have readily responded to the call of duty during this pandemic, putting public welfare before their own,” Binay said.

Activities scheduled for this year’s foundation day have been cancelled due to the national health crisis.

“At this time of uncertainty, we give priority to initiatives that aim to help the city residents, including employees, cope with the challenges brought by the pandemic,” Binay said.

Last April, the local government granted hazard pay and special risk allowances to qualified city hall frontliners who reported to work during the enhanced community quarantine.

Makati has allocated P124,453,000 to fund the compensation.
