Drug stings yield P.3 million shabu

MANILA, Philippines — Police recovered an estimated P370,000 worth of shabu from six suspects during separate drug stings in Makati in the past two days.

Peter Symon Obusan, a rider for a motorcycle delivery app, was arrested at a police checkpoint along Nicanor Garcia street in Barangay Bel-Air at dawn yesterday.

Police said they recovered P80,000 worth of shabu from Obusan.

The suspect told probers that the drugs belonged to a Chinese client.

Five other suspects were apprehended by police in anti-narcotics operations in Makati.

Kalel Bacud, 32; Jovan Hilario, 22; Paulino David, 57; Rizal Celestino, 49, and Benjamin Valdez, 48, were taken into police custody.
