QUEZON CITY, Philippines — Eleven members of the La Loma police station in Quezon City, including its commander, went on quarantine following a breach in health and safety protocols in their office, sources said yesterday.

Quezon City Police District Station 1 chief Lt. Col. Florian Reynado and 10 other policemen have been on quarantine since May 6.

An security official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the police officers decided to isolate themselves after an individual entered the police station without his temperature being checked through a thermal scanner.

According to the source, the individual delivered packed lunch to the police officers.

The source said Reynado and the other police officers have tested negative for the coronavirus disease 2019.

They will return to work after completing the mandatory 14-day quarantine.
