11 held for quarantine breach

TUGUEGARAO, Philippines — Eleven men were arrested for violating quarantine rules in separate areas in Cagayan on Saturday.

The men were held for playing basketball and for not wearing face masks.

Of the 11, eight were arrested in Barangay Amunitan in Gonzaga town, and the rest in Barangay Sidiran in Sto. Niño.

Meanwhile, in Kalinga, seven beneficiaries of the emergency cash assistance provided by the government under the social amelioration program were arrested for gambling, police said.
