MAGUINDANAO, Philippines — Two members of the Dawlah Islamiya or Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) suspected to be responsible for a grenade attack near a police station in Datu Piang town on Sunday were arrested yesterday.
Sultan Baguinda Guialil and Mohammad Baguinda Candado were apprehended based on tips from villagers.
The grenade attack near the police station was supposed to be a “test mission” ordered by BIFF leader Kagui Bayan.
No one was reported hurt in the explosion, which triggered panic among residents.
