Pangasinan village execs held for quarantine violations

SAN FABIAN, Pangasinan, Philippines  – A Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) council member and a barangay kagawad were among those arrested for violation of quarantine protocols here and in Sta. Barbara town on Wednesday.

Police said SK kagawad Noel Navarro and his three companions refused to pull over at checkpoints in Barangays Cayanga and Tiblong.

Barangay councilman Teofilo Garcia, 67, and his four companions were arrested for violating the liquor ban.

Niño de Guia and Benjamin de la Cruz, both utility workers at the municipal mayor’s office in Baliwag, Bulacan, were apprehended in Barangay Unzad, Villasis for failing to show proof that they are categorized as persons authorized outside their residence.
