MALOLOS, Philippines — At least P810,000 worth of shabu was seized from three drug suspects at a checkpoint in Guiguinto, Bulacan on Sunday.

Julius Francisco, 39; Roy Aldrin Marcolita, 22, and Andres Marcolita, 49, were collared in Barangay Sta. Rita at past 7 p.m., according to Col. Lawrence Cajipe, Bulacan police director.

Probers said the suspects were in a car that was pulled over for inspection by police officers manning the checkpoint.

An officer identified one of the passengers as an alleged drug trafficker, who was out on bail after entering a plea bargaining agreement.

“Francisco threw away a plastic sachet believed containing shabu,” Cajipe said.

Police said they recovered 135 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P800,000 from the suspects.

Charges of violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act will be filed against the suspect, police said.
