MANILA, Philippines — The local government of Taguig will launch this week its drive-thru testing to boost efforts to curb the transmission of the coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19.
City residents who are possible COVID-19 carriers will be asked to fill out an online assessment form. If health workers determine that they need to be tested, they will be given a number, which they will use for the drive-thru testing.
The new service will be available in two temporary facilities located in Bonifacio Global City, Barangay Fort Bonifacio and in Lakeshore Tent in Barangay Lower Bicutan, Mayor Lino Cayetano said.
He said the sites would only be open for two hours a day.
The city government said it is planning to start the drive-thru testing this weekend.
Taguig recorded three more COVID-19 cases, bringing the number to 197 with 15 deaths. Twenty-four people have recovered from the disease.
