Las Piñas fire displaces 120 families

LAS PIÑAS, Philippines —  About 120 families were displaced as a fire razed at least 60 houses in Las Piñas City yesterday afternoon. One resident was injured while another suffered a stroke.

The blaze broke out at a house on Samuel Street, Barangay Manuyo Dos around 2:01 p.m. The fire reached the third alarm and was put out by responders at 3:25 p.m. Investigators have not yet determined what caused the fire, but estimated the cost of damage at P150,000.
