MANILA, Philippines — Two suspected drug pushers were killed by police in separate stings in Cavite in the past two days.
Joseph Nocuenca, 43, died at the scene from gunshots to the body after he allegedly engaged policemen in a firefight in Barangay San Francisco.
Cavite police director Col. Marlon Santos said Nocuenca reportedly sold shabu to a policeman who posed as a buyer.
Probers said a .45-caliber handgun, 13 sachets of shabu and P500 in marked bills were recovered from Nocuenca.
In Barangay Molino, Sony Telespuro and Michael Angelo Enguin were killed during a drug raid.
The suspects reportedly opened fire at policemen, who retaliated.
Police said they seized a .45-caliber handgun, a 9mm pistol, an improvised shotgun and drug paraphernalia from the suspects.
In Bulacan, four other suspects were shot dead in separate drug-related shootings.
They were Jay-Arthur Mateo, Alexie Bautista, Dexter Joel Tordillo and Rogelio Francisco.
Police conducted the anti-narcotics operations in Meycauayan, San Rafael and San Jose del Monte.
