Court orders Parojinog transfer to Bicutan jail
MANILA, Philippines — A Quezon City court has ordered the transfer of former Ozamiz City vice mayor Nova Princess Parojinog to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in Bicutan, Taguig.
In a three-page order, Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 95 Judge Edgardo Bellosillo granted the motion of state prosecutors to transfer Parojinog to the BJMP facility at Camp Bagong Diwa.
Parojinog is being held on drug charges at the Philippine National Police Custodial Center at Camp Crame in Quezon City .
While it disagreed with the prosecution that Parojinog is being given special treatment at Camp Crame, the court said it did not see any reason for her continuous detention at the PNP facility.
