NBI files murder raps vs Sandra Cam
MANILA, Philippines — The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) yesterday filed a complaint for murder and frustrated murder against Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) board member Sandra Cam in connection with the killing of Batuan, Masbate vice mayor Charlie Yuson III last year.
The NBI’s Death Investigation Division filed the charges against Cam before the Department of Justice along with her son, Marco Martin, and five others.
The bureau also sought the prosecution of Nelson Cambaya, Junel Gomez, Bradford Solis, Juanito de Luna and Rigor de la Cruz.
Yuson was shot dead while having breakfast with Wilfredo Pineda and Alberto Alforte in Sampaloc, Manila on Oct. 10, 2019.
Pineda and Alforte were wounded in the attack.
Yuson’s wife, Lalaine, accused Cam of masterminding his death over politics.
Yuson’s son won as mayor against Martin in the last elections.
Lalaine claimed that the gunmen were previously seen in Cam’s resort in Masbate.
Cam has denied the allegations against her.
