Parojinog’s transfer to BJMP facility sought
MANILA, Philippines — State prosecutors have asked a Quezon City court to transfer the custody of former Ozamiz City vice mayor Nova Princess Parojinog to end the alleged special treatment accorded to her at the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center.
In a five-page motion, prosecutors last week asked the Quezon City Regional Trial Court to transfer Parojinog to the detention facility of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City.
“She should not be given special privileges distinct from other detainees,” the motion read.
Parojinog is being held at the PNP Custodial Center on charges of drugs and illegal possession of firearms.
Prosecutors said the BJMP is set up to accommodate high-value detainees.
