P.5 million reward up for Negros drug ring leader’s arrest

Gilbert Bayoran - The Philippine Star

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines — The reward for information leading to the arrest of the alleged leader of the Divinagracia drug ring operating in Negros Occidental is now P500,000.

Silay City Mayor Mark Golez offered another P300,000 on top of the P200,000 offered by the Negros Occidental police.

The drug ring, which is allegedly led by Michael Divinagracia, is among six drug gangs operating in Negros Occidental.

Police said Divinagracia surrendered under Oplan Tokhang, but resumed his illegal activities.

Baleros said the drug ring was the source of illegal drugs recently seized in Silay City.

He said they are also offering rewards of P50,000 to P200,000 for the arrest of other drug ring leaders in the province.
