Trader runs over, kills gunman who shot SUV

COTABATO CITY, Philippines — A businessman ran over and killed an alleged gun-for-hire who ambushed his vehicle in Pikit, North Cotabato on Sunday.

Capt. Mautin Pangandigan, Pikit police chief, identified the fatality as Antong Ibrahim, a resident of Barangay Batulawan.

Jade Omar, who is based in Cotabato City, was unhurt. He turned over his bullet-riddled Mitsubishi Montero to the police.

Pangandigan said probers have yet to identify Ibrahim’s companions, who managed to escape.
