Central Command chief, 10 AFP officers promoted

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines — President Duterte has approved the promotion of Central Command chief Maj. Gen. Roberto Ancan to the rank of lieutenant general.

In a letter to Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana dated Jan. 15, the President also approved the promotion of 10 other military officials, including 3rd Infantry Division commander Brig. Gen. Eric Vinoya and Brig. Gen. Simeon Felix, who were promoted to the rank of major general.

Cols. Anthony Cacayuran, Araus Robert Musico, Wilbur Mamawag, Norwyn Romeo Tolentino and Rommel Tello and Navy Capts. Luzviminda Camacho, Gabriel Viray III and Fernando Reboja were promoted to the rank of brigadier general.
