Boy, 4, drowns in Negros river

BACOLOD CITY, PHILIPPINES – A four-year-old boy has drowned in Malogo River in Barangay Nanca, EB Magalona, Negros Occidental.

Members of the EB Magalona rescue team and Coast Guard personnel recovered the body of Jestoni Cabrillos on Thursday, Capt. Wilfredo Benoman, town police chief, said.

The boy and his parents were bathing in the river at around 5 p.m. on Wednesday when he was swept away by the strong current.
